99 Camaro SS LS1 Build Thread Whats up everyone, Well After all the struggles ( Rebuilding the T56 & 8.8 build) Im finally at a good point to get my ls1 rebuilt. By myself of course This will be my first ls1 rebuild. So ill take plenty of pics & maybe some videos well lets get started!!

engine tear down To find out what my ticking noise is... I thought it may have been a lifter but nope.. Those rod bearing thou.. I ended up finding a o ring chewed up which was the oil pump seal.

Well after engine disassembly I took my crank & rods to be inspected & I had one journal oval out just a hair.. they were in spec so Crank got a fresh grinding & rods where honed with a matching oversized clevite bearing set.

I didn't want to reuse my stock pistons so I went to Wiseco & ordered some -2.2cc forged 2618 High Strength Alloy With Armor Glide Skirt Coating. The part# is K366X05 which are 3.903 bore but I wanted to go a bit bigger on the bore so had the custom sized to 3.905. Go big or go home right

Well now I am at a halt waiting for Napa Machine Shop to bore my block to size & balance my rotating assembly.. Just a bit longer but its a must. So my plans a re to run mostly stock until I get more funding or sell some of my toys.. Im porting my 853 heads Ill have to take some pics. Im trying to convince my friend to sell me his stock 241s but until then Ill make do.
On the heads I welded in the prying gap so I can use MLS head gasket instead of that graphite crap.. so after porting they will be of to the machine shop to have them resurfaced..

Heads So Im using 806 cast head, I welded the pry gap then had Milled .010 to used MLS Head Gasket instead of graphite, Ported polished 
# angle valve job LS6 Valve springs, mill.010 & Redone to reuse my Center bolt valve covers 
Yea Perimeter are ugly as sh*t.. Dont ask about my 853's lol

LS6 Intake Okay so got a Broken ls6 intake and repaired it. It fit in really Perfect Like a puzzle piece, just kinda locked in (: So I plastic welded it a couple of time then just jb welded it sanded and repeat Till I was satisfied.. & Its super cleaned I socked it before in 5 gallons of purple power works real good..

Engine So Im Using oversized wiseco 2618 alloy -2.2cc 3.905 bore Pistons with solid mounts,timing damper kit, stock cam, stock rockers, ls7 lifters, comp cams 7.3 pushrods, ls2 lifter guides, gapped ring at .019 top & .022 bottom, all new bearings

Engine Here the last of it, What do you notice about the heads 
There 806 with center bolt valve covers lol LS6 Intake repaired & finished too Cant even tell.. I also replaced my rod bolts with The updated version , I mean the stocks are 15 years old..
The next set of pics arent the best quality but the pics of the good stuff is at least lol

11/04 Okay so its wired up bolted in, i just need to wait for my threaded rod to come in to install damper then p/s pump then belt fluids and prime my oil gallerys.. Driveshaft everything else is done just fill with coolant, bleed brakes & abs & P/S.. Oh and should i drill in my y pipe for the rear o2s?
