Default Mast head swap

Getting ready to slap my engine back together with some mast small bore ls3's and a new cam. Getting close, hopefully this coming week I'll have everything together minus a new fuel pump since mine took a dump couple weeks back and been buying gaskets and bolts lately. Not a drag car just want it to at least trap 123 that's my goal. Setup consists of mast ls3 heads with Btr platinum springs with seats/retainers/locks from ed Curtis. Comp 3/8 pushrods, morel 4708 lifters and ls2 trays, 226/242 630/604 114+4 eps cam. Gm mls head gaskets, edelbrock Victor stepped headers with a custom y pipe that runs to a vibrant 3-4" merge, dynomax 4" race muffler. 6 speed car with 3.42's monster level 2 clutch with a tick master and speed bleeder. Deep dish zr1's on 315 toyo tq drag radials. Hopefully runs good

Should be interesting...

So the valve locks and associated hardware are different from Brian's regular setup with his springs? I remember he told me the kit he had wouldn't fit the heads when I had them, which I why I went the PAC1221x route.

So when are you looking at first start up?

Yeah I bought a Btr kit and got in contact with ed and he sold me the hardware. Took a .060 shim and .100 seats to get the spring height at 1.783. Looking forward to sharing results but won't be for a couple weeks to fire it up and get it retuned. Thanks guys

Static should be 10.8 if I remember correctly, and I need to calculate dynamic. Probably do that in a bit since its been raining like crazy and can't do much on the car anyway. Also need to order some fuel rail spacers from katech and new plugs now that I remember. I thought they used gasket style plugs but the plug holes are tapered so I need to look into that.

Been awhile since I've updated my thread, getting closer. Tomorrow I get a chance to work on the car well see how far along I get. Rollmaster billet single roller timing set, melling 10295 oil pump, cam retainer plate with recessed bolts, ngk bkr7e plugs. Now I just gotta figure out how to remove the mast rocker stands. They're set in place with dowels, I installed em to install the valve springs with a comp cams spring compressor. Took some whacks with a rubber mallet to seat em now I can figure out how to remove them. I need to take them off because the head bolt holes are blocked with them installed. Tried a pry bar with a towel and left a little mark on the head, last thing I wanna do is damage anything. Anyone with experience working on etps or mast heads with rocker stands feel free to chime in
