Build a good, solid 408 to get to 600 and change, then hit it with a 200 shot.
IMO, 800 all motor is not realistic. Kind of the "magic" specific horsepower number you can achieve (with serious attention to detail) is 100 hp/liter. So you need at least an 8-L engine - 488 cubes - to have a shot at it

Don't tell honda S2000 owners about this 100HP per liter "magic" HP limit.

Oh Christ, that 100hp/liter sh*t is all those hon-duh girls have to brag about. Nevermind the fact that their 100hp/liter motors still can't outsew my grandma's viking.
But yeah, without a NASCAR level engine build, you probably aren't going to achieve 800 naturally aspirated horsepower with an lq4 408... Sorry.

I agree a 408 won't cut it; however 800 HP N/A has been done, and surpassed by a LOT (1029HP 440 n/a LSX) 2.3 HP per CI or 142 HP per liter:

So, all I was really saying was 408 ain't gonna do it, and a 408 is 6.7 L, so figure a 408 will get you into the mid 600-range and make up the rest with Nitrous.

Mustand dyno....again, racing dynos, but this particular dyno is typically 50ish less than many of the Dyno Jets around here. So by that math, 15% for drivetrain, M6, etc....its close to the "right" number. Obviously, I need to run it down the track when I feel its ready....soooooo, v2.0 is on the horizon
