Question about Head Gaskets? I've bought GM Multi Layered steel gaskets, but they don't fit, says 5.3 right on them, but they don't fit over the locating pins?? Looks like the bigger holes on the gaskets for the locating pins are at the top? The locating pins on my engine are at the bottom of the block surface? Is it wise to just get others? I don't know I feel comfortable grinding on the gaskets.

You should have no problems with those head gaskets unless they were made wrong. The pins are always on the bottom holes on ls motors.

They don't fit. That's all there is too it. They even block the small holes up top.

I'll take a pic.

There has to be something wrong with them. I used the ls1 5.7 head gaskets on my 5.3.

Found a listing that says they are for 2010 and later. Mine is a 2001.

Did a little intake smoothing. Hope it fits under the hood. Not 100% sure yet.

Anyone used one of these intakes? It's cheap, considering I've really blown my budget. I can't use the truck intake. Too high.

Hot rod did an intake test and it seemed to test well.
