If the engine still runs smooth and strong, then no, nothing is likely hurt. Flush it out, run it a few thousand miles if it runs normal then change the coolant again to help get it a little cleaner and to see how it looks.

Its dexcool trouble, you better find the reason you are running low on antifreeze. You have a leak someplace that is letting air get into the cooling system. The rusty looking crap is actually what is left after acid eats aluminum. Hot Dexcool + air = Acid. I had a similar problem, same look with slightly low water level. I found a water pump gasket barely leaking letting air get in as it cooled off.
Unfortunately once dexcool starts this its very hard to stop. I tried flushing etc and it continued to eat everything. I finally pulled everything apart, cleaned everything I could and replaced the rad and changed over to Propylene Glycol, no more trouble after that.

Do you happen to have a power steering cooler? It would be attached in the middle of one of the big radiator hoses.
