hey guys I have been wondering for a long time what a stock bottom emd ls6 makes with full bolt ons, a FAST or stock ls6 intake, stock 243 heads, and a cam. I looked and couldn't find much.

Also whats the power difference between an ls1 with 243 heads vs a factory ls6 with said mods above? Is there a power difference at all, THANKS!!!

theres a lot of different variables like what cam you pick, auto or 6pd, ect. but i have seen up to around 430 cam only on a LS6.

and no, not really, there wouldn't be much difference if any at all by putting 243s on an ls1 with identical mods.

No difference. If the 243s on the ls1 don't have the sodium valves like the ls6 heads do then maybe a couple HP from more stability.

A cam/bolt on ls6 should be in the 410-430 rwhp behind a manual trans on a typical dynojet depending on the size of the cam and other variables.

Well, I have a crate ls6 long block in my 02 Camaro. I am running stepped ARH headers and their catted y pipe, cat back, ported tb, SLP lid and the stock ls6 intake all thru an A4 trans. The long block is untouched with 8k miles. I put down 381 with the original tune on a dyno jet.

Had a crate ls6 in my camaro, made 400/391 at the wheels with full exhaust and true duals, I threw a cam in it and made 420/400 through the worlds shittiest exhaust setup and cutout. Still going strong somewhere in Dallas.
