Default Best place to port 243 tea,ai,prc etc

Hey guy I am picking up a set of 243's off a 07 trail blazer and gonna build up my 01 z28 I have a few questions. Is there any difference in the trailblazer 243 vs say the z06 ones. Also who ports them the best looking to make 450+ rwhp in a stalled auto is this even possible with ported 243 and supporting mods plans with the car is pretty much is a all out street car with a stock bottom end ls1

Advanced Induction and TEA have both proven to make great power. If you search on here, you'll see stellar results from both companies.

The difference between the trailblazer 243s and z06's are that the vette 243's have lighter, sodium filled valves. Also, to make 450 hp you need to optimize every piece of the build.

Contact Advanced Induction. There AI 226 LS1/LS6 head combo is right up your alley. THey will also spec you a cam that compliments your heads as well. Also, you will need a fast 92/92 setup (throttle body / intake manifold). Realistically if you end up with 430whp through a stalled auto that won't be bad considering that same set up would be over 450whp through a T56.

I tried to this morning but got Anwser so waiting for them to contact me back. Can I run there 232cc instead of 226cc. I talked to tea and they said that I can't go there stage 2 because the vavles are to big. Is that true the other companies from my understanding are upgrading them so why couldn't tea And also anyone have the prc's ..???

IIRC you can use the 232 on a 346 block but the benefits won't be noticeable between the 226 vs 232.

Yes, you can run their 232cc heads on your setup. I had talked with Phil about either the 226cc or 232cc heads for my setup, and he said that the 232cc heads would work just fine and that I wouldn't see a loss in the lower RPM torque/power, but would see some gains up top with the bigger 232cc ports.

Okay thanks but I searched and found out there the same price and don't hurt numbers. So wouldn't you might as well just make them 232 since it's the same price and doesn't hurt numbers and can also use them on something else later down the road

Everybody here is going to pimp what they have strapped to their block. The truth is there really is no wrong. Several companies can produce good results from a 14yr old casting.
