Default Has anyone used a Jegs Cam?

Has anyone used or have any feedback on the jegs private label cams?
They are priced very aggressive ($290 for a brand new cam). it would just be reassuring knowing it was a comp cam in jegs boxing, or any reputable cam company making these for jegs.

yes, trickflow is a summit owned brand, but i doubt they are grinding their own cams.

i could see jegs getting them from the same supplier, but probably not directly from trickflow....good to know they are the same as the trickflow cam though.

Just because the lift and @ .050" duration are the same don't mean diddly Poo
They could be regrind factory cores where the flank shapes are goofy or lame
because of remaining material the grinder is working with
IMO a NEW Kip Fabre ground stick, whether his lobe or EPS lobes, is still the
way to go for maximizing the potential from valve events.
The heart of an engine is pretty much worth the investment.....

I was just thinking this! the jegs 216/220 are on a 114 lsa so they are probably reground stock 5.3 cams!

If you are like me and really balling on a tight budget another option would be check out your local craigslist or parts classifieds for a good used cam. LS cams can be swapped from one engine to another as long as they are in good shape, Everything I'm using on my 4.8 Camaro build is used!!!

Just last week I traded a blown up ls1 short block with a big nasty hole in the side of it for a gently used comp xr265hr high lift cam to go in my 4.8L. I think the guy just wanted the crankshaft out if it and was planning to make a table out of the rest of it or something haha.

I bought the Jegs cam thinking it was a comp cam, but after receiving it and noticing how poor the packaging (just a cam in a box with no bag, lube anything on the cam itself).

I was just wondering if anyone had any info on them. I am returning it and i will get a Comp or something from an actual Cam company.

Overall I was very surprised at how poorly this was packaged.

Shocking. From the makers of "who gives a damn" cam grinds
