David, I hope you can get this all resolved in a way that works for you!
I know if this happened to me I would be very discouraged, but also know I just have to do what it takes to overcome it all. Good luck man!

All the crank journals look pretty good as far as I can tell.

Looks good as far as wear. Hard to say about straightness though.

Personally I'd have serious reservations about using it for anything without thorough checkout, which would probably cost more than another used one that hadn't suffered the hydraulic trauma.

I am ALL about reusing stuff, so don't take this wrong, but i would comb over that cylinder really, really closely to inspect for cracks from hydoing. Maybe even buy some dye check just to be sure, its not very expensive on the net. It REALLY sucks when you bang it back together and you have next to 0 compression on a cylinder.. I would not hesitate to put a starter on that and do a compression/leak down on it before I put it in as well. JMHO

I would have the crank checked for a bent throw. How did the oil look when you drained it?

I would also get the injectors checked out, sometimes they hang open and causing hydro-lock. Seen them bust a cylinder open pretty good.
