First pull through exhaust on 93 pump gas it made 540hp

Plugged fuse in to meth kit and it lost 6.made 534. Rich air fuel
Leaned back out to 12.5 & matched the 540 it made without meth but safer.cooler intake charge.
Opened exhaust to 18"x3" extensions and power went up to 553.
Added 1.5 deg timing but it lost 5hp.
Called it good for 93&meth

Pumped as much fuel as I could out and put 7gallons of e85 in.
E% came in at 50%
Set stoich to 11.6 &made a partial hit to 6000rpm to see it we were close on air fuel
Graph over layed the 553pull exactly but it was actually 10.2 air fuel and commanding 10.8. Was going to turn meth off to lean it out and see what it done on e50 alone. Got out the car and seen water on floor. Not sure if it's a head gasket but pretty sure it's just a coolant line on back of head loose. Will pressure test tomorrow and confirm.

This Basanni exhaust has been great but one thing I see compared to first dyno session was now the exhaust is a bigger restriction than last time. At the hit ,there is a 30hp difference between open headers and bassani dual exhaust. It lessens as the rpm goes up to a peak of 13lost at 7500 rpm.
Last time it was only 19@hit and 5 up top.

I think the motor is making more power but the converter shows less to tire.

It should scoot at the track, feels really strong on street. Converter is now an 8"fti non lock up .flashes 5100 & trans brake goes 5450.

I think if I could have leaned it out on the e50and added a degree of timing, it probably would do 560. Not sweating it though.the track will tell

qouted from my dyno thread

I have a few things to do ,move battery to back so that I can mount my ac accumulator where the battery is. Vacuum pump took up that accumulator spot. For now the small battery is held down by a bungy chord.
today I'll be tracking down a water leak. Hopefully it will be at the track sometime this month but possibly early November before I go

Nice update! When you move the battery to the back I suggest not getting a metal battery box. See my threads for wiring info.

It's a small lithium battery. No box needed

Electric water pump took a dump. Leaking water around the seams .
Ended my dyno session early thinking possible head gasket.
The water run down the front of block , on to the oil pan rail and to back of block.
Amazon is refunding me most of my money so I put a mechanical pump back on. I dont think it done much for horsepower and it wasn't helping with cooling so I'm not mad about getting money back for something that didnt work for me.

I have been debating on whether to use the LS2 pump I have or a Meziere. The Meziere seems like it's really expensive for what it is. And it's fixing a problem that doesn't exist?

Edelbrock makes a higher volume water pump that doesn't work on our cars without some modding. But the price for it and the billet pulley is almost as much as the Meziere.

Sucks that it leaked almost right out of the box. Mine is a few years old with no issues.

Im using an Evans water pump, flow 20% more than an oem pump, outflows a meziere, helps keep no 7 and 8 cooler. Just running 70/30 water-glycol and water wetter, 28psi radiator cap, double clamp on radiator pipes ,160 t-stat
Normal street driving water temps sit at 228, when i get into it temps will go to 220. Only problem i have is when hwy driving, temps will go down to 195 so every 15mins or so ill drop it into 5th and give it a squirt to bring temps up to 215 or so

PRW 1434620 here. Awesome pumps. Excellant low speed flow yet designed to operate well above 7k rpm. And the pulley just plain looks great!

I made a short drive to the gas station today. No leaks and I found my oil leak I had while I had my intake off. Ict billet oil pressure adapter for sending unit wasnt letting the spending unit tighten down enough to squeeze the metal washer.
Modified that and seems to have fixed that issue.

It won't cool as well as a mechanical pump.
I'm not concerned with temps now , I'm spraying meth injection 5o cool off combustion chamber.

I had a good weekend with the car. I went to the Mississippi Gulf coast for cruising the coast kick off and put about 200miles of driving on it. Since changing to the mechanical water pump, car stayed around 198 and only 1time creeped up to 205 . I didnt have time to get the m&h 325x45x17 tires put on my wheels so I went to the coast on my drag set up. Skinnys up front and 275x60 pros on back. Car ran and drove flawlessly.
I lined up with a friend of mine who has a vortech supercharger in heads cam and intake ls1 fbody who made 550running out of fuel pump with a 255walboro at only 5500rpms.. Since swapped it for a 450lph.
We went from a 55mph roll to 135& was side by side the whole way. Here's the kicker, he was alone on 1/4 tank of gas, I had a full tank and a 170lb passenger and through exhaust. He has the speed engineering dual exhaust, I have the bassani dual 2.5" and need to swap to the speed engineering dual exhaust as im losing 30hp to the wheels with this small pipe set up.
Because of him edging me out by a fender, his exhaust was right next to my window so data log shows I shifted second to 3rd at 7300 instead of running it out to 7800where it needs to be.

Great run with a good friend and we both laughed and just enjoyed the run. In no way am I making excuses for why he edged me out, i'm tickled to be running with a blown fbody even if he is only on 8psi boost.
Data logs show I was lean also. Yet I made another hit right after where it was perfect at 12.4 air fuel.
Seems the meth kit is saturating my air filter or something as it makes kpa go down to 92-94 and get lean then it will read 99 the next pull and be great.

Possibly gonna do a Chris 1313 pro stock ram air and 3" speed engineering dual as next mods

Why do you want your temps that hot

F*ck me I run the LS1 in my Camaro at under 180 .. I have an overkill aluminum radiator and fans in it. Usually sits around 175. Here's the deal, that's on the autometer mechanical temp gauge threaded into the water pump.. But the actual GM temp sensor in the cylinder head always shows 10 degrees hotter than the autometer at the water pump. So I figure the heads are up at 190, so I don't want it any hotter! Plus it's quicker when it runs cold due to intake temp, and never pings. I've proven it many times over with my gtech. And I run my tune on the absolute limit of high octane pump unleaded so more heat will just be backwards. And lastly I don't buy into this cylinders sealing better with higher temp crap, at least not in a sleeved block. Cooler cylinder head temps I can run the tune leaner with more timing on pump gas = more power.
