I let the pump run for a minute when I put the engine in before starting it and ran it with no issues. Didn't have a vapor locking problems just let it idle with the rad cap off until I didn't see any bubbles left.

I let it idle alot. Held good temperature and no sign of air bubbles.

Hopeful this solves the problem

So it sits and idles 172 all day. Imn a drive at 55m0h it gets to 201.
70mph it gets to 214 and holds. I get on the throttle hard it jumped to 217. I think I'll pull the slp ram air kit off and see if that makes a difference.
Cruises at 34.5 degrees of timing not very high but that may get dropped to 32 and see how it responds.
I am thinking when I rebuilt the motor last time and jumped the compression up from 11.72 to 12.08 to 1 and also advanced the cam 2 degrees may be the culprit.

So what I have found is when removing the plugs for heater core in meziere puimp and installing the nipples to go to heater core, I had them backwards. One is indeed bigger than other and it seems to make a difference on how they go.
I changed them to correct way and bled the system again. Runs 192 at 70 until I get on it hard.then Goes up to 205 and holds.
While hood is up it will idle at 167 all.day. close hood and creeps to 181.
Flex fuel sensor is near complete, needed 3 more fittings to plumb it in and tune is also ready to load in to ecm. This should also drop temperatures some.

Went to install vacuum pump and the ict billet manual tensioner is to big.had to order katech tensioner.
Getting closer to an end

The hood thing you mentioned is what is making me want to put a vented hood on my car. I’m on the fence about it tho. They have a vented carbon fiber stingray hood that while isn’t my taste, doesn’t look too bad but it’s functional.

I have the American sports car design Hood. I am thinking about putting vents in the back of it like a cowl induction hood would

If you want the hood vents to function as an “exhaust” for the engine bay, to aid in cooling, the vents must be toward the center of the hood front to back, outward toward the fenders, left to right. If you put vents in the rear of the hood, as a cowl Induction is, they won’t pull out of the engine compartment. The base of the windshield, at the cowl area, sees high pressure at speed, and will in fact will force air downward into the engine bay, especially at speed. This is why a cowl Induction actually works well. The high pressure wall at the base of the windshield, helps to force air into the air cleaner.
I feel like your temps are fine now that you’ve reversed the fittings on the pump. You should be fine sir.

I'm happy with these temps. I was thinking with the cowl pushing fresh air in the engine bay it would push the hot air down and actually with the tubular k member under there it should vent out pretty well.

Intake air temp gets hot sitting but quickly cools off when I smash the go pedal.

I really dont want to jump in to any more projects with it, time to just enjoy it.

need a 90 deg 12 an fitting to turn hose down so it dont cross the battery but this thing raps up super fast now. Not sure how it is supposed to be at idle but its seeing 7inches vacuum. When I bring revs up it sees 15inches. I'll dial it back in upper rpm to 12.

Flex fuel sensor hooked up and swapped to the 02 Tahoe operating system tune but getting a fuel composition sensor error and its stuck on 21.9% ethanol.

I tested the fuel which is only 93 and it is 10% so I need to test my wires and make sure I have a good sensor for my system.
I swapped back to old tune until I figure it out

Im not sure, rewired it last night to a known 12 volt key on source and still same thing. The wire going to the pin 56 has to be tested now make sure it's getting signal to ecm.
If this dont work I guess bad sensor.

My battery died on me just after loading a flex fuel tune and new operating system. Battery tested bad so I ordered a battery Darth is running,

Save weight, makes room for my ac accumulator to go there since it had to he moved to allow the vacuum pump install.

I'm digging the specs of that battery. I may put my brand new red top in the 66 Mustang and opt for this for the weight savings.

This battery is a beast. Cranks this 427 like its a 4 cylinder.

Cant seem to get flex fuel tune to cooperate so been playing with ethenol . First tank on e35. And just added more and tested at e55. Set stoich to 11.6 .haven't added any timing yet ,just toying around with it. I may add a couple degrees to see how it responds tomorrow.
Have a dyno day set up with Geoff for October 2nd. Then heading to Biloxi gulf coast for cruising the coast.

Ill be there too. Wife driving the gto and I’m pulling the camper. I got a campsite at buccaneer state park. I got a bunch of buddies going too. Hope to see you there. Just letting you know, I won’t be street racing there. I heard of people getting their cars impounded and all kinds of trouble. And the cops are looking for all that. I already had my license swiped from me not long ago for drag racing. In this car. Wife was pretty adamant about me selling it. I dodged a bullet and got out of it for a couple hundred bucks. I may not be so lucky.

I took the car on a 100 mile cruise Sunday. It done great, had a blast driving it.
I hooked up my meth injection kit. All that's left for it is waiting for more of the plastic hose. It wasnt long enough to reach the front.
It will be in when I get home from work Tuesday and on before the dyno on Wednesday.

I'll have the answer to does meth with 93 help naturally aspirated cars vs e85 vs e85 with meth.

Testing all.

12.1/1 compression plus the sniper intake gets stupid hot, I think its gonna help
