Default Clock stamp?

Can anyone tell me what this clock stamp says? It appears the block was made in 05. I need to know so I can get new cam bearings for my build.

Look down the headbolt holes and see which Gen block it is. The cam bearings design will usually correspond to the head bolt design.

Where do the knock sensors go? Valley(Gen III) or side of block (Gen IV)?

Show us a picture of the entire block. Gen3 and gen4 are two different animals.

Does your block use 2 different length head bolts or just one, NOT counting the row of smaller bolts

04 could have either one of the 2 cam bearing sizes. I fought that battle. The OD is different between the 2, so just have a shop inside mike the cam tunnel bore, so you can get the right ones...

Can't see inside the valley with the lift plate on. Are the knock sensor bosses in the valley?

Measure the bearing bore ID. That is the difference. Than call WS6store and tell them what you know and they will get you the right ones.

For the harmonic balancer? No. Ask The guys at WS6 store any questions you have. They are great guys. You will get customer service there.

Figured I'd update this to see if anyone may need the info at a later date. The clock stamp appears to be a 2005 stamp and the number on the block references to a lq4/lq9 block not sure as I didnt have heads or pistons or anything. But upon measuring the camshaft holes they damn near matched what texas speed had for there 2nd gen cam bearings then. I looked at the head bolt holes and found they were all the same length except the short ones by the intake. So it's a 2nd gen lq4/lq9 2004 or later model since the bolts are the same and the cam hole is bigger.

LQ4 and LQ9 are the same block; they use different pistons to raise the CR in the LQ9.
Glad you got it all straightened out! Best of luck to you in your build!
