running about the same equement as you -but stock heads and 3.23's had bad same problem UNtill I play with mis fires now ONLY time asr mess up is if I idle (675-700 rpm) for long tine-15-20 min and up will have to look at my edit file to see where I changed my missfire - if you have edit I can send you my file I set misfire at min and max at 120 and 140 not sure which other tables I changed , aslo brakes may feel the low vac which you have with this cam,,I have no problem with brakes good luck Johnny
ps: if I idle long enough for the ASR lite to come on and the switch will not work, I only drive about 5-10 minutes and all works fine

Mine did cut off after idling a while, and the traction control button wouldn't toggle.. just like above.. Now mine just comes on soon as the car finds an idle, after my last tune.. still trying to figure it out.
Peace,

Just delete the darn thing. ASR
You normally shouldn't have brake issues with a 112lsa. Did you tune properly? If after tune problem persists there is always the vacuum canister option.

The reason why the ASR/TCS deactivates is due to the low vacuum produced by the big cam. The system uses the MAP sensor to determine engine load and the cam throws it off. Mine does it occasionally...I just restart the car and it comes back. You should have your idle rpm at 900-1000 rpm, which will help with producing more vacuum helping the TCS and the brakes. The brakes need engine vacuum too.

Check the MAP sensor in the back of your intake. My ASR light wouldn't turn off after my cam install and it turned out to be a bent pin in the MAP sensor. Low vacuum may cause it as well. You are running a pretty big cam.

ASR will just call in sick if the ABS system is not
happy. ABS may (?) have some sense of a low
vac booster vacuum reserve in the power brakes?
Big cam and low RPM (especially if mis-tuned for
mixture) makes ****-poor vacuum. I think this is
the chain.

Apparently this is a very common problem with the TSP 231/237 cam.
The problem that you are all having is directly related to the low vacuum the motor now produces. Those of you that are throwing codes are probably throwing P0121 - Throttle Position Performance. Your ASR/TCS also intermittantly turns itself on/off while driving around.
The fix for this is within your tuning. There is a place is LS1Edit specifically for P0121. Autotap your car and see what your MAP sensor values are in kPa, then adjust your min/max values in ls1edit. Or take the car back to the place you got it tuned at and have them do it.

Gotta agree with the tuning... it's all in the tuning to get it to work properly. My brakes felt a little weak at low rpms while I was still untuned (just on the canned Predator tune), now that I have a custom Predator tune, I have no more driveability issues.
My idle is set at 950 with my custom tune, and 975 with A/C on... runs damn smoothly now.
