Default Hows this look for 179,000 miles?

I got tired of a drip here and there from my Hummer so today I replaced valve cover gaskets and added an oil cooler block off plate. I was pleasantly syrprised how clean the top end looked. I've had this truck forever and always change my oil. Thought I'd add a little color while I was at it too....

Oil pressure has always been good but it looks like it bumped up a bit without the oil cooler too.

Looks great; I'd have believed you if you said 50,000 miles.

What kind of oil do you use?

Always Mobile 1 Synthetic with a half container of Marvel Mystery oil once a year before an oil change. It's been my D/D since day 1, so I take care of it.

It will be getting a LSA blower soon.....

How long/far before the oil change do you put in the Marvel Mystery oil? Sounds like a good idea!

I just do it every so often. No particular schedule, maybe once or twice a year. I love MMO and even add it to my fuel tank on the same schedule, basically the other half of the bottle. I got hooked on it 35 to 40 yrs ago after I used it to un-seize an aircraft engine that had sat too long. When I did the knock sensors on this engine I had almost zero oil deposits in the intake too and have just recently added a catch can.

I guess what I mean is, add MMO JUST (a day or two) before changing oil, or a week or 2 before? Or when?

I might run it in here a few hundred miles. I don't think it hurts anything to go longer but who knows. What my pics did not show was that even the underside of the valve covers were clean, a little tarnished looking but absolutely zero build up. I gotta think that's from MMO but again, I've had this truck for most of those miles and always take care of it. I run the MMO in all of my other cars too, BMW's, MB's Vettes, Harley, Baja, etc.
