Default Is my cam done for ?

So on my 6.0 I lost a cam bearing of course.. started to lose oil pressure after she went and didn’t tick at all just made a weird chirping noise. Anyways I shut the car off immediately after I dropped to about 5psi of oil pressure. I towed it home and started the car again for about a couple seconds. Ended up pulling the motor last night for a rebuild. I wanna know if these marks on my cam are bad or not I mean all the lobes on the cam feel smooth like no indents or anything but they have these wear marks on them. Cam has probably 200 miles on it. I run 20w-50.

Those marks will prolly polish put. How do the rollers look on the lifters? How about main/rod bearings?...they oil last.
A chirping sound internally is a cam bearing 99.9% of the time.

haven’t pulled the lifters out yet. From what I can see from inside the motor they look ok, little bit of wear. Not bad. And I’m buying a new short block anyways. Used 5.3 but different motor so I ain’t worried about the bottom end

Hard to see but the first picture looks like the one lobe has some
pitting on it?

Camshaft looks okay to me other than that one lobe down by the sensor and why the thicker oil? I've heard of people running 20w50 on new LS engines and I could understand if the clearances were opened up some but these LS's run on 5W30 and 10w40.

on these junkyard turbo 5.3/6.0 builds I’m either running 15w-40 or 20w-50. The car is on e85 too.

I've made the same mistake with 20w50, go for 5w40 synthetic

It’s always worked great for me. Cam bearings were bad before I even dropped it in my car. I tend to use thicker oil on junkyard builds, but wouldn’t on a fresh rebuild..

One of my friends has been running Castrol 20W50 since the day he bought his truck and it has a 5.3 LS. My LSX has .0025-.003 on the mains and rods and all it gets is 5W30. My oil pressure will run about 60psi cold idle, 50 psi hot idle and I make it point to never hammer on it until the engine heats up some.
