A few things about this comparison. First this camshaft actually gains more effective torque than the headlines indicate. This is due to the odd little surge in torque with the stock LS3 cam 5700 RPM. Also, I may just end up changing the intake duration from 229 to 230 on this camshaft. And, not because the cam needs it. Because guys just want to see 230 degrees or larger on a weekend race camshaft. However, with a 7200 RPM peak and an easy carry to 7500 RPM, the existing spec are pretty damn impressive for a camshaft that most often ends up in a stock bottom end engine.

How far can 823 heads be milled to gain compression And not worry about fly cutting pistons with a junkyard dog cam?

I realize the OP (Steve) has retired but maybe someone can explain why the lil’ lope camshaft graph posted on this site shows 53.4hp and 25.9tq while on the Cammotion site is shows 78hp and 33tq.
Mix up somewhere.

Never mind, I see that one is compared to a LM7 cam and the other is compared to a LQ4/LQ9 cam. Still shows a 5.3 stage 2 high lift on the top left for the 78hp one. Confusing

As @G Atsma stated earlier, it would've been a great idea to post each cams specs at the bottom of each graph. Still, a thumbs up to Cam Motion...
