The tests subjects name is "Krusty". Krusty is a Junkyard sourced LY6 6 liter LS based engine that we did not even give the courtesy of a bath. The engine looked to be in good shape and took a beating like a champ! With well over 100 dyno pulls, about 25 cams, 4 intakes and 3 sets of heads, Krusty never skipped a beat or even whimpered! Many of these pulls were to 7500 RPM! The only casualties were a broken ARP head stud and a killed MSD plug wire.

Why do some guys ALWAYS have to bring in turbos and/or blowers into a cam thread???
I like turbos and blowers but they DON'T need to be inserted into a Vendors thread

So, who do we start with? Let's start with our best selling cam for the LS1.
Titan 4 LS1 Camshaft
#03-01-0013
Duration at .050": 227/232
113 Lobe Center Angle with a 109 Intake Centerline
Lift with 1.7 Rocker Arm Ratio: .612"/.595"
People just love this camshaft. It makes good power, has a defined lope but is easy to drive. It has been a best seller for a long time.

IF it isn't TOO much trouble, could you post the cam specs with each test only to avoid having to go to your site to look them up. OK, laziness has triumphed... lol
Also- are you going to test your truck cams? If so start the charts at 2000 RPM to track low-speed torque. Thanks in advance!
Next up? Our most popular LS3 camshaft.
Titan 3 LS3 Camshaft
#03-01-0018
Duration at .050": 227/237
113 Lobe Center Angle with a 109.5 Intake Centerline
Lift with 1.7 Rocker Arm Ratio: .621"/.604"
This camshaft is popular for obvious reasons. It makes great gains over the stock LS3 cam, has a great lope at idle, but still drives nice.
If you are wondering why it gained less than the Titan 4 LS1 cam did over the stock OEM cam, it is because the OEM LS3 camshaft is quite a bit more powerful than the LS1 camshaft (#12561701).
Time for some big dogs.
Titan King LS1 Camshaft
#03-01-0015
Duration at .050: 236/244
112 Lobe Center Angle with a 109 Intake Centerline
Lift with 1.7 Rocker Arm Ratio: .621"/.604"
This one is nasty. Super choppy rough idle and all the power and attitude.

Didn’t zoom in enough on my phone lol I see it now. Very impressive numbers
Gotcha. I’m way too blind to ever try and get on here on my phone. I use the biggest iPad Pro made, and still have to zoom a lot…lol! Getting old sucks.

This tells you how good the 823 heads are vs. the 706 heads. The much more streetable Titan 3 cam made *tons* more power than this "nasty" (i.e. you'll be tired of it in a few months because it's a PITA to drive) camshaft, thanks to the better heads.
That's why I paired a mild cam with my good heads.
I'm old though ... maybe young guys think it's fun to get their clocks cleaned at stoplights by a car that's quieter, idles better and gets better fuel economy. :-)

That's why old guys have turbo cars, can idle, drive and sound stock but make 1000hp. Pretty much any NA build no matter how wild will get its clocked cleaned by even a budget 78mm build.

And yet other old guys who prefer N/A setups will use the milder cam with more low and midrange torque to clean the clocks of grossly over-cammed, peaky builds because their owners HAD to have shaking-like-a-dog-crapping-peach-seeds chopping cam so the peanut gallery can hear what great engine builders they are.... lol

I get it, I have a ghost cam in my street car, granted I could never live with it NA.

I'm not totally against any lope, in fact I really like the mild lope the Ghost cam makes. Just enough to let the troops know "something's going on".....
