Default Torquer v2/ ported 243s 369rwhp

Auto car/3600 stall/ 3.73 gears/ torquer v2 only made 369rwhp 344ft lbs on a dyno jet. Something has to be off, I was expecting close to if not 400. Tuner is the go to for these cars in town and said he thinks the heads aren’t doing much. I am running stock size rods and K1810-3903 pistons. Heads are 62cc and will attach photo of specs. Using stock gm head gaskets.

While i totally agree with running it at the track those numbers are suspiciously low. IMO

What camshaft? Do you have a dyno chart? Agree with others on track times.

From your previous thread about the throttle not opening all the way. id talk to the tuner and make sure the TPS is reading correctly. which should be common knowledge to a tuner, but some "tuners" are trash.

To address everything the converter was locked when they did the pulll. I had to shave a little bit of the bump stop on the throttlebody to get the TPS to read 100% the tuner said everything was fine when he was tuning it. There is no baseline tune because I ran a tune from frost before I got it dyno tuned. It has 373 gears and LS6 intake stock throttlebody stock math and an SLP airbox

What does the rest of the graph look like? Can't tell anything by looking at the first 1/2 of it.

The graph looks really good IMO.

Have you started with the basics? Compression test? Etc?

What do the plugs look like?

Dumb questions:

Can car be dyno'd on a different dyno?

Any idea when the Dyno was calibrated?

Asking cause ~20 years ago there was a NA heads and cam Z28 on the forum running mid 11's and per dyno it only made ~366 whp.

Can the tuner provide MAF (g/s) data from the dyno tune?

I think for N/A hp on a DynoJet WHP is often pretty closely related to the MAF (g/s)

He wasn't pulling it in 2nd gear did he?

Has the dyno been calibrated recently?

Put in on another dyno to double check?

It's been my experience that auto trans is usually down 20-30hp compared to a manual trans, even when locked. Don't ask me why. I asked the tuner, who has literally tuned hundreds of cars, and is very good. He stated my A4 C5, which makes right at 500whp on a Mustang dyno, wouldve been at 520-525whp if it woulda been a 6 speed manual. I asked him why, and he said that even with the converter locked, they just dyno lower. He also stated that for whatever reason, the power discrepancy disappears at the strip. So I agree with you, he needs to see what mph he is trapping. The ET doesn't actually show power as accurately as the trap speed.......

That's low. I dynoed 363rwhp and 350 tq with stock heads and ls1 intake through yanks s3800 converter back in the past. The tuner was saying I was 20 rwhp lower compared to other auto cars who had the same mods as me and blamed the lifters which did eventually crap out a few years later.
The car did trap 113 in crappy da.
