Update, definitely was the springs. Truck has dual springs and the inner springs were broken because apparently the stock retainers were used and it caused the inner springs to break. I dropped the heads off at a machine shop and they called me this morning and told me this.

it's all good, that's the nature of this game. My truck will only be much better now and hopefully a tad bit quicker.

Appreciate the update. I’ve seen a bunch of broken springs, both inners and outers, and never heard one cause a chirp. Learn something new everyday I suppose.

I was a little suspicious that it was coming from there because that's where the sound was coming from with the borescope and the machine shop confirmed it once they pulled it apart. Hopefully once I put everything together it's all good. I found a few loose bolts and also a few broken exhaust bolts too so I'll fix all that while I'm at

Ah, those pesky exhaust bolts. They break every time. I wish they would just use studs instead.

I didn't even realize they were broke, I ordered all new bolts for that also and the machine shop is removing them

Truck is running and chirp noise is gone! but one thing I do notice. The water pump is going out and I just recently changed it about 6 months ago. What would make the truck go through pumps so quickly

it's not the pump, I thought it was so i changed the pump and thermostat and it still ran hot so then I thought I did something wrong and possibly put the head gaskets wrong. Idk why I wad second guessing this when I knew I paid attention when I installed then. So I pulled the motor back apart and everything was installed right. Idk wtf is going on, why its running hot

Did you bleed the cooling system? If you get air pockets in it when filling the system, it's going to run hot. If nothing else got changed during the repair, that's where I'd be looking.

unfortunately I did not, today I plan to put everything back together and that's what I will do. I tried letting it run a few minutes and the water was spraying out the radiator cap and i figured the if it had air that it would work its way out like that but it was spraying out a pretty good bit so I turned it off and pulled it back apart. I guess I jumped the gun on ripping it back apart

Raise the front of the vehicle a foot or so and let it come up to temp with the radiator cap off. The temps will climb and the thermostat will open and then top off the radiator when the coolant level drops.
