I should be finished putting it back together today and I'll give it a try. He's pouring directly into the water pump correct? Because my setup isn't like this. My radiator doesn't have a spigot like this I have a inline spigot in the hose that comes from the radiator to the water pump and I fill it there.

Yes, he's filling the top end of the engine through the upper rad hose or a similar remote filler neck(see below) that's on the upper rad hose if that's what you have, then the lower part of the engine is filled through the radiator.

yes this is what I have, 1 end goes to water pump and the other end to the radiator. I was just making sure i poor it in the water pump side.

I've never broken an exhaust bolt on my LS1 OR LS7. That is, if you're talking the bolts that bolt the headers to the head. I've used and reused the OEM bolts many times. I agree studs would be nice. But that would increase costs due to two or 3 parts compared to one bolt.

I've learned money isn't an option when you want to go fast. I changed all the bolts when I put everything back together. Exhaust bolts, head bolts, oil pressure switch plug, valve cover bolts, intake bolts, just about every bolt i took off has a new one in its place.

Default Chirping noise from timing belt!

Hi all, I’ve recently discovered a chirping noise coming from the camshaft / timing belt area. I have taken off the accessory belts, and recently installed new timing belts and idler pulleys.
I had also pulled the head a few months ago. But I don’t think this affects the chirping noise, as it has been fine until now.

Any help at all would be appreciated! I will post a video of the sound! Thanks

Did you read through my thread? There were plenty explanations and I also showed that it was lifters. More then likely that's your cause if it's not accessories. I recommend starting your own thread if your looking for much more information then that.

I thought you said it was valve springs?

Yeh you right, this time was. I actually had a lifter failure once before in the truck. I thought that was this post. When the valve springs were installed someone used the wrong retainer clips and the inside springs were broke. Imo op issue is lifters.

Not trying to troll! Sorry for the confusion, new to this site and didn’t realise how to start my own thread.

Thanks for your reply! Yeah I did read the thread, it gave me a few tips but still stuck on what the sound is. I replaced all hydraulic lifters when I did the head. Would it be best to start a new thread? Cheers

I couldn’t open your video, was your noise similar to mine? What ended up happening with your springs?
