Default Will stock rods w/arp bolts be good for 500rwhp and a 75shot

I'm in the process of building my motor. I all ready have mahle foreged pistons and on the stock ls1 rods w/arp rod bolts. My question is if I make close to 500rwhp and then shoose to do 75hp shop of nitrious on top of that will the rods hold up. My budget now is getting tight since I just purchased a new set of heads. Should I go to an eagle rod?

Sorry to burst your bubble man, but you aint going to make 500rwhp with that. If you make 430 that will be good.
Who is doing your shortblock?

P-Z....why'd you have to go do that man? Let the guy dream

You're gonna need more then just the cam and heads to hit 500rwhp. Try every bolt-on known to man including a straight thru 90mm Fast TB/Intake setup. Not to mention, your tune will need to be very good.

btw...just saw the smilie list was updated...some of those are kinda cool...LOL.

edit....hope you didn't shave those heads....t-rex will have a hard time fittin under there if you did.

Hard is an understatement, it just won't, if they are milled. Unless he is going to flycut, but I wouldn't do that to a Mahle slug.

Go with the rods, but seriously, I hope you have gave the blueprinting some thought, shaved heads with that cam is going to need some good valve reliefs, but come on now, 500hp? don't count on it, if you have forged pistons and good rods, I wouldn't waste my time on a measley 75 shot, go with the 125.

I know it won't have a ice cubes chance in hell of fitting....in my world we like to call it sarcasm

With a good tune the rods should be fine. I made 600 RWHP and went 9.80's and then we made almost 700 RWHP and broke the entire drivetrain, never hurt a rod or the engine though. The tune is critical, along with the spark plug and fuel choice. Good luck

Well from the dyno that terry at prc with a 225 225 589 589 112 cam and 5.3 heads made 450rwhp with stock 10 bolt with 4.10 and ls6 intake and ported tb and all bolt ons. I have everthing I need to put down those numbers. I'll be happy with 450rwhp. The mahle pistons have -2cc valve reliefs. plus those heads are not milled. Netting 10.7- 1 compression. I have edelbrock longtubes and true duals, walboro 255 fuel pump and svo 30#er's. I should at put fully tuned in the 470 range maybe higher. But I wanted to do a shot of nitrious on top of everything. So i just wanted to see if the stock rods with arp bolts would be up to the task.

That was a typo. My pistons are 3.908.
