Default Valve Springs / Cam Install

I should be ready to install my cam in the next few weeks. I should also have some heads in the near future. Can I install the cam now with the stock springs?

Additional info will help. You'll need to supply some cam specs for an appropriate answer.

I have the same cam. You will need better springs and hardened pushrods. I used 918's and Thunder's pushrods.

Nope....

That is much to much lift for the stock springs. It is too much for the '02 LS6 springs as well.

You would have to upgrade to something like the comp '918's, Isky's or Rev duals (safer).... there are a bunch out there that will work with any head machining....

You definately don't need new pushrods unless yours are bent. A lot of people swap out their cam without even toughing the push rods. As a matter of fact, when I got the LPE TE package, they didn't touch the push rods.
