I dont like my Kaytech oil pump. My old 98 kept hight oil pressure then it does. Its just a stock oil pump ported and not shimed for hight pressure.

wicked 98z, what would you recommend; ARE?
What kind of pressure are you seeing at 6000?
I would think that if Katech runs this in the C5-R where it lives at 4000+ rpms 95% of the time, it will hold up for my street and occasional trips to the track. Do you agree?
Thanks

It was the same as stock at hight RPMs. Its been a while since Ive drove the car since it spun a rod bearing. (only 5k miles on motor). Im gonna give it one more chance and hopefully it wont cost me another motor.

BTW there rod bolts are holding up like a champ. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Thunder has both the C5-R (JWIS) chain and Katech oil pumps in stock. The chain is $129.99 and the oil pump is $139.99.

Re: Who sells Katech oil pumps and C5-R timing sets?
You shouldn't see anymore pressure out of a Katech pump since it is not shimmed for more pressure. The only way you should see more is if your oil pump was on the way out, etc.
