Yeah, afr's are pricey. A little over $2000 for the 205's. I suppose you could always wait and see the edelbrocks or dart heads that are supposedly coming out.

Did you check out MTI, I think they might have something in your price range, also I don't remember TEA being "too damn expensive." Do some more research and use the search button.

patriot's ls6 heads are not ls6 heads...thus the price difference.

your best bet IMO are TEA 5.3 heads. you can't go wrong. there is a brand new set in the forsale section for 13xx.00

PRC heads should be coming out soon. They're priced about the same as patriots and had some good results.

patriot's ls6 style heads are 6.0l truck heads that have been welded up(chambers) and remachined. I personally do not like that much welding on a head, even though they say they re heat treat them.
Da search on each place that ports heads on here and see what company has had many failures. You will then understand why prices are cheap. Some people will say But x company has great customer service cause they stood behind the product when the cheap valve let go or the spring broke. IMO the company that has great customer service is the ione that never used cheap valves or springs to begin with.
When it comes to cylinder heads you get what you pay for. The cylinder head is the most important part of an engine,if your going to skimp on an engine do not skimp on the cylinder heads!!!

Why would you want LS6 heads? They are A LOT more expensive if you don't have cores, and from what I have seen, do not offer that much of a benefit. I am going with some 5.3L heads, which will up the compression a little bit and give me the option of running a larger cam without flycutting the pistons. Just my 2 cents.
