Default What Heads for my LPE GT2-3 Cam?

I was gonna switch out the cam for a bigger one but now I'm thinking about heads for the car. I would like to see 420rwhp but I bet that would be hard since I'm only making 370rwhp and 354rwt. Thanks for any help.

420rwhp aint happening unless you swap in a new cam as well.

depending on what your looking for i'd forego the heads and just swap in a new cam.

Why not use the LPE heads? The LPE heads/cam package is rated at 425 hp and includes their heads and the GT2-3 cam.

However it does seem like a stretch that the LPE heads will pick up 55 hp. I think real world you can get 400 hp with the GT2-3 and a good set of heads.

I don't know what your goals are, but a cam only 400 hp car will not be as driver friendly as an LPE heads/cam 400 hp car.

Good luck.

I'll sell it to ya as soon as I get my other cam. Shouldnt be too much longer. I'm waiting to hear from Allan so I can choose my cam. You'll be the 1st on the list.

I have that cam with the GMPP LS6 CNC ported heads, milled .050" and the other bolt ons. (headers, Blackwing, Ls6 intake, ported TB, LS6 MAF). That setup made 403HP/386 TQ. 420 HP would be wishful thinking. It idles like stock, if that's important to you. In retrospect, I wish I went with a bigger cam.

If I didnt have to change out the gear and springs I'd trade you. Makes me wish I had put double comps instead of my 918's

This is the combo I would suggest, but you will need a bigger cam to see 420
You may want to look at our GT2-5 which is 222/222 .566/.566 112
and it will work with your 918 springs. It's currently on sale for $249.95
