Hot Cam owners come inside My question is after your cam swap with the HC and the car is start and the computer relearns are there any SES codes.Any info would be appricated

Verdad Gallardo I just want the SES light to go on i'm in the middle of doing the cam, clutch, rims, tires so money is a little tight right now.In Mass for a inspection sticker than plug in to the OBD2 port and scan for codes this why am asking suppose to get a new sticker at the end of January maybe i'll have to wait till i can get a tune?

My car ran like butt without a tune when I put my hotcam in. That cam's coming out this winter for a T-rex, and I know it will run like butt again too. You might want to think long and hard before putting that hotcam in, and read some of the posts about people who want to go bigger. Yeah, its better than the stock cam, but not by a whole lot. It sounds mean as ****, but its bark is WAAAAYYYY worse than its bite. And before all the hotcam lovers chime in, think about how long you've had yours. When I first put mine it, I thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. After 9 months, I regret not spending the extra $100 - $150 on better springs and retainers so I could run a big cam. If its the money thats the isse and you're doing the Hotcam kit because you can't afford the extra cash for a better one, then my advice to you is to wait until you can. If you think the car will run great on the stock tune and you won't need to plunk down the $$$ for a dyno tune, just like I did, then you are sorely mistaken. Do it right the first time.
All ready did research on hot cams and have decide thats what i want,have comp 918 springs,Hardend pushrods,Cloyes timg chain set,LS6 oil pump,This what i want but was curious if i could run it with out tune.Also it will have enough spray to back up the bite.Its like they say different storkes for different folks

your car is a m6 right.. then it will still have some surgin and some other problems, but it wont be half as bad as an auto. and dont listen to every hot cam person that done like their cam. that dont mean that you wont love it. and if you are goin for times.. i know quite a few hot cam onwers without heads that are deep into the 11's! so you just do what you think is right!
