Patriots or PRC's. PRC uses stock locks though so that might be what they are. The patriots have the larger super 7 locks.

Deffinately not Patriots. The locks are stock small locks and the retainers look a bit different to fit the larger super 7s on the patriots, the retainers in the picture have a much smaller whole for the locks. I just got done staring at mine (patriots) for about 3 hours while I put my other head on and set up the shaft rockers.

AFR could use the stock locks and retainers if they wanted.

Yes they do. Maybe AFR opted for the stock locks/retainers for cost reasons. Obviouslly the super 7's cost more. Then again, the super 7's are 7 degree locks/retainers, which is what was just posted in the info spanky put up. Kinda confusing. I'd ask Tony if they ever used stock locks and retainers in there first line of heads.

The AFR Springs are not polished to remove the roughness from the surface, although the ones I've seen did have the gold coating. Didn't seem to be stock locks (appear hardened) although they would probably interchange. The retainer/spring locaters are prob made by AFR, they are not PRC or PP components, not sure where they get their springs from though.

Tony told me they were Gold duals which are PRC's. The retainers are titanium, and I don't know about the locks, I don't have super 7's to compare them to. They are good to .650" lift and I have those 'heavy' Harland Sharp rockers up top and have spun to 7000rpm on an XE-R lobe with no float. So you should be good to go.
