ASA Soundclip
I wish I could go with a higher lift cam in the ported ls6 head...the flow sheets indicate the heads start to really flow at .550.
Unfortunately, the heads are milled .055 and you can;t go with much bigger cam...thivker gaskets and (or) flycutting pistons is a pain...
Will an X1 sound anything close to that.

Actually, the lope of the X1 isn't that far off. It's fairly close, I had the X1 for awhile but I had the idle set higher. If you had the idle at like 850 or so I'd say it'd be really close.
very nice, that sounds evil.

Good to go against the norm sometimes,I think area under the curve this cam does better than most aftermarket grinds. GM spent some money on the ASA car engines to make them run, and I am sure they didn't slap a dead end cam into the engines.

and you should have it tuned just see what your air fuel looks like.. maybe they can pick it apart and only fix the stuff that might need a little help.

What is a Grand National cam? I have the same heads setting in my basement.
I assume the ASA cam would fit with thes .055 milled heads without any piston flycuts; is this correct?
