Headers --- Kooks are very good, but Hookers are great for the $
ASP pulley --- have to take the stocker off so you can do that all at once

Cylinder Heads --- All Pro's, Force Fed High Performance, TEA, MEAUX and AFR all come to mind depending on your budget.

Camshaft --- I'd go custom to match the entire combo, Chris Straub, Ed Curtis, Futral Motorsports, Cam Motion, Bret Bauer are all good at doing so.

Gaskets --- I prefer cometic but stock GM gaskets are cheap

Bolts -- You can get stock bolts for cheap or ARP head studs

Lifters --- I like Morels but talk to your cam guy

Rockers --- I like Jessels or T&D's but talk to your cam guy

For Oil Pump I'd go with a $50 LS6 oil pump, I like the roll master timing chain myself. The rest of the gaskets can be done with stock GM stuff you can get from anywhere.

Best o' luck

Floyd.

It's pretty good, developing quite a bit in the last few years. It's good to see someone that is/was from Scott here

All depends how much money you want to blow...
Heads - Patriot most bang for the buck (Stay away from 5.3's) or AFR for best power.
Cam - Custom grind always works well
Loudmouth - your going to want a new catback with a new cam - it will be SUBSTANTIALLY louder with a new cam.
Felpro or GM gaskets, GM bolts or ARP, Rollmaster Timing Chain
The '01 Oil pump should be fine, but while you are in there, if you want to change it, go ahead.
Good time for ASP pulley...

Easy to go overboard.

AFR's are good heads for lots of spray or boost because of the thicker deck, but if you're going N/A they're too much $$ and you can get a set of LS6 heads to flow better, cheaper.

A set of afr 205 heads. Long tubes and a true dual set. Theres a guy who can get yers done in bloomington, about 3 hrs from belle he had true duals w sweet thunder mufflers all done fer like $400. A nice cam like a 231/237 seems to be popular. Ported tb and a dynotune should really rip! 400+rwhp:-D

But from what the word is from alot of dudes is the afr's are a MUST fer that nice juicy rwhp/tq#

I know of 2 setups that will get you in the 500rwhp area.

CNC (out of Florida) heads with big cam.........This is probably the cheapest way to get the power
AFR TEA 235s with big cam..........More expensive but worth the money in the long run.

You will still need all the boltons and they need to be good ones. Kooks, pulley, and the rest of the stuff you already have. JMO
