What cams are your guys running in your daily drivers?
I am torn between what to do with my car, and a cam is one of my options, but with the prices of turbo kits starting to go down in price, Im considering saving up for one of those. Well I am just curious what cam you guys are running in your daily driver, what power your making, times, and how driveable is the cam, is it ok to to deal with when idling in traffic with the ac on, that sorta thing etc. I want to make most power possible, so I was looking at maybe the TSP MS3, on a 113lsa, I was hoping that this game wasn't going to be too rough driving it everyday. I was also considering the G5X3 on a 114, but the price is a little higher then the MS3. Any other cams out there you guys running in your car? How is it? And any other info/advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I don't want to be changing valvesprings out frequently, even though with the cams I mentioned earlier, you would have to. Any times or numbers with the hotcam? I am still undecided of what to do, if I do a cam, I don't want to kill my driveability that much, so I could just put in a small 224 cam, but then I know ill regret it and wish I went bigger. Too many decisions!

The FMS F11 and F13 are both great daily drivers. You can get them on a 112LSA with no worries. Here's a vid of my idle (F11 on 112) if you're interested.

I really didn't want to go lower then a 113lsa, to try and help out as much driveability as possible. I understand that the tune plays a big part in driveability and streetablity. Hmmm, I may just stick with the MS3, since its the best price for the power, all the other cams, such as the 233 or 233/239 cam are on 112 lsa, if they came with a 114, id deffinitely put one of those in. I dunno, im so indecisive! Thanks for all the replys, im assuming all you guys drive your car every single day? What mpg do you get? How much a month do you spend on gas, how much more then when it was stock cammed? Thanks again.

Most of the vendors should be able to get you any cam on a 114 LSA for no extra charge if that's what you want.
I've been running a TR224 114 in my DD with no issues, but now I'm going to a TSP 235/240 on 112. Driveability will suffer some over the TR224 I'm sure. A lot of it is how much streetability are you willing to trade for better performance; everybody has differing levels of tolerance.
As for changing springs, at first I didn't like that idea either, but now that I've done it a couple of times, It's no big deal. Once you get rid of that coil pack bolt all the way in the back, it's much easier.

dude, you have an M6. a 112 won't be the same problem as it would have in an A4, say 9 months ago. My buddy runs a Trex on a 106lsa(?) in his auto and it drives perfectly.

I have the MS3, its fine as a daily driver as long as you have a good tune. Jason at TSP tuned mine and it does great. As for the valvesprings, its not too hard to change them as long as you have the tools.
