I do not know if this has been mentioned yet, cause I sure as hell ain't gonna sit here and read all 5 pages, but this car also has a custom intake on it as well. The gains aren't set in stone yet, but a couple of vendors have seen gains upwards of 20 rwhp from a sheetmetal over the LS6. So, in reality this car could be a 440 rwhp car with a custom intake to push it over the top. I could see it being real..

Why all the Lou bashing guys? These numbers are great!! They are also believable. A homegrown setup with bolt-ons a TR230 and milled and ported 4.8's (with considerably less cfm's than the ls6 heads) can pull 445rwhp. LG just upped the ante.

I for one completely understand why he is sitting on the specs. If everyone gave away the secrets there would be no need for the 1 billion+ dollar a year corporate espionage trade.

As far as the "help your LS1 buds" thing, he could easily drop all GM products and go with the much better selling Ford Mustang market! Every time he alocates a single man hour of labor towards R&D for this mill he is helping.

This company along with all of the GM specific sponsors here are a credit to us all. With their sales and R&D the prices are coming down on the LS1 parts.

God bless America, God bless the LS1, and God bless Lou!

P.S. Lou, do you have a release date on that cam yet?

Hi guys,

I still can't figure out why the hp numbers of an engine can make so many people upset. Can anyone tell me. How should we let people know of our accomplishments? should we take 30hp off the reslults to get all the "Beer mugs" smashing, and hammers pounding.

We are tuning on a C5 with this package, and I came in to read this post, and I just want to say that we are still tuning, and we are not satisfied with the 456.0 rwhp and 421.5 rwtq on the Corvette C5 that we have in here. Still the best Tq numbers of any, and still the best curve.

The torque numbers and curve look great. We had about 5 LS1Tech members on hand to watch the dyno runs, so there would be no questions.
I will post the final numbers after the tuning in completed tomorrow. Yes, we are working on Sunday. The harder we work, the luckier we get.

I have met many of the posters on this forum, and everyone was a good guy overall.

Thanks, and I hope to meet more of you in the future.

Lou Gigliotti LG Motorsports

PS, we have one LS6 head car getting the G5X-2 package, and 3 ls1 head cars in line. more numbers to follow.
Thanks.

Please post those 5.7 head #'s as soon as you can. I'm trying to decide on a cam and this one has got my attention.

We ARE developing the G5X-SR package now, but this is not it. There has been substantial R&D put into the G5X-SR with an even more radical cam than in the 525RWHP 418SR we did. When our G5X-SR makes 500RWHP NA out of 346 CID what are you going to say then?

Anyways #2 of the G5X-2's is almost done and there are many more coming down the pipeline over the next couple months. We will continue to the posts results and strive to improve our product and the flamers/lamers will continue to attack us. Maybe some of you racing fans can come get the package to show off exactly what kind of MPH and times the G5X-2 cam make.
