Re: G5X-2 cam & head Dyno Numbers
Will somebody buy one of these cams and send it to me and I will get it cam doctored and we will end this discussion.
Personally I would never buy a cam or let it be installed in a motor of mine without knowing the numbers.

Re: G5X-2 cam & head Dyno Numbers
FYI...we are also working on a very simular package, that doesn't require notched pistons. That means you don't have to bring your car to Texas to install it!! Number so far are 452rwhp and 422ftpds or torque..SAE no spike Kicker is, thats with full exhaust, mac headers, and a 9inch with 28X10 slicks. Im sure if we ran open exhaust like LG and son, we would get alittle better numbers...but not many of our customers run around with open dynotechs We still have several tweaks to play with, looking for 460+rwhp with a package you can actually buy in parts form

Re: G5X-2 cam & head Dyno Numbers
Again, you are still 12 hp down from our Camaro with True duals, not open headers on 93 octane pump gas. And the 463.9rwhp that we got was not fully tuned because Louis had to go back to College. Our G5X-2 idles at 950 with no issues.
But 12hp in nothing when you are 12hp LOW.Just as 1 hp is EVERYTHING if one is one hp higher.
Thanks,
Lou Gigliotti LG Motorsports.
Chris, is this an AMS thread? IF it is then lets talk about the subframe connectors and relo brackets that you guys welded on, that FELL OFF.

Re: G5X-2 cam & head Dyno Numbers
Lets not started fibbing, trash talking match. Why can't we sell cams that make HP too? We will start taking orders next week for this cam. We will also be at SLP day to track time this baby.
Like I said Lou,
We are more than willing to go to YOUR dyno, and dyno this car the same day as yours so there are NO discrepancies for any factors.
Lets just not start getting unprofessional about this. All we are doing is letting customers know we are developing a package that makes good HP.

BTW Lou, true duals?
Dynatech-open at y.
Glen, this is Louis' car that we did the cam testing on today.
Lou G
did you not post this? Weve got ypipe, full mufflex, its not gonna change on the next post either. So which is it?

Chris we are doing 463RWHP at 28 degress timing and 12.5:1 AFR's on pump 93 octane gas. I have seen baby cams have harder times idling than this one.
Your f-body is also down 3+RWHP from our C5 with more drivetrain loss and incomplete tuning. You dyno with a 9" and 28" slicks, but "it's a street car, honest" but running open an exhaust is out of this world. Let's take a poll on the number of f-body's with cutouts, what that's what I thought. I'm sure AMS customers routinely drive around on the street with 28" slicks. Good luck with your package, maybe you will figure out how to start your own threads and not hijack others soon.

Re: G5X-2 cam & head Dyno Numbers
I have seen the AMS car. It has a hand port job on the heads "not CNC'd".
It does make awesome power, and it idles like stock.
I know it is hard to believe, but it is true. Ihave never seen a car make that much power and sound so smooth. Unless it was a Ferrari.
Also keep in mind the AMS car has LS1 heads not LS6.
I am sure both cams are good.....and pretty close to the same output. However, I know from reading the post and talking to owners that they are dramatically different specs.
Does the LG cam really require cutting the pistons?

Re: G5X-2 cam & head Dyno Numbers
Hi friends and LG Motorsports supporters,
We just got finished tuning the Corvette C5 with our G5X-2 package.
The new numbers are
470.6 rwhp 430.5 rwtq
The graph and info will follow in a new thread.
and yes, there is a 4-5hp spike at the end, but the torque is above 400 from 4100rpm to almost 6000 rpms.
See you later,
Lou Gigliotti.

Re: G5X-2 cam & head Dyno Numbers
Thats pretty darn sweet.
So what with a (I'm guessing here) 16% loss thru the Vette driveline thats 545hp/499tq at the motor. Thats crazy when you think thats just bolting on heads and a cam on a pretty much stock car. To think 10-15 years ago that kinda number was coming from race only cars.
Good job to everyone at LG. Can't wait to see the cars starting to rip up the streets and tracks!

Re: G5X-2 cam & head Dyno Numbers
Well if some of you know it all people that are so quick to bash haven't figured it out with these last few posts competition is pretty fierce.
Maybe some of you can piece two things together, I mean since you guys seem to know everything, and now understand why LG's specs are kepted on the down low.

Like I said, the package is still in development. I don't want to race dyno numbers with you just yet.....do you want to dyno on the same day, same dyno before SLP day on the 15th? Give me a run on your dyno and you can post the results. After we post the higher number, I'll start my own post with the part number to each component. That way people outside of Dallas can make this kinda power
