I believe it is the 62cc that is due to come out in about 4-6 weeks from what I've heard. You can mill the current 72cc heads down to 66. Never heard of any 66cc coming out, though the above numbers pertain to the AFR 225s.

Well I was told the end of December!! But I would rather have a great product than rushing out a half *** job. It's just something we have to deal with. I'm sure AFR would like are money as much as we would like their heads. We are both it the same boat!

Good post and very much a reality...

I think there is a reasonably good chance we will start shipping 62 cc 225's in 2 months or so....things have fallen into place at AFR that bodes well for the completion of this project, but I must hedge because the "unforseen" delay factor is always lurking and I'm TIRED of dissappointing you guys...

Thanks for hanging in there and upon your first glance you will understand they were worth the wait...

Will keep you guys updated as things progress....

Tony,

Can you be specific about what the hold up is? Is the chamber design finished? Have there been any mock up's? Are the 62's just theory, or has the design been tested at all?

Purely factors that are completely unrelated to the actual product....I have touched on it in a recent thread I started. Long story short, the bulk of our Engineering effort's have been focused on getting three new CNC porting machines installed, dialed in, fixtured, and cutting quality parts. Our "backlog" was given the nod as a priority over finishing the small chamber 225 program...whick would have only made our backlog WORSE. It was the right move for us but unfortunately the end result is the delay we are dealing with currently.

Thanks.... so the design has been agreed upon and sampled and run? When the other machines are up and running, are you (AFR) ready to pull the trigger and start production?

The design is the SAME as the larger 72 cc version which has been providing stellar results for just about everyone I have spoken to.
The difference will be simply in the chamber which is now more of a "closed" double quench design similar to the 205.

It should be killer...just be patient.

Good things come to those who wait. I am looking forward to these. What compression will the 62s provide on a stock SB? I am looking to for somewhere around 11:? to run safely on 93 octane.
