Norris is the only shop in Orlando that I would use, I have been going there for the past 5 years. No issues. He is probably one of the best tuners in the country NA or FI. He also has a wide band AF that prints on the dyno sheet, others lack this capability. Prices are not necessarily cheap, but you get what you pay for. Over and above all else Mike Norris is a nice guy. To borrow one of his phrases "hope this helps".

I have to say RevXtreme, the best thing to do is call and talk with the shop and see what impression they leave you with. For me it was one conversation with Dino at Rev and it was done.

Mike Norris did my H/C package and I have ZERO complaints! He truly is a nice guy and stands behind his work. He isn't cheap, but doesn't try to rip you off either. Mike will ask you what your goals are and offer suggestions without being pushy...

well of course i'll tell you vinci. (i'm biased) it's the only place i trust under the hood of my cars. but, from listening to others, i'd say norris is just as well. i've met and talked to numerous times. i've seen more testing and development of products through vinci. they have a good reputation with crane cams. also, there's other non specific ls1 shops in/near orlando as well. corvette masters, lamotta and lugo performance. trying to give options so as not to look so biased.

Mike Norris' folks have been a real pleasure to deal with and Mike's a great guy. They say Gary (one of Mike's guys) does a real good job on installing forged kits. I've heard good thing about Derek and all the guys who work for Mike ... never heard one single derrogatory thing about any of them. They'll all 'chew the fat' with you and are really good people to be around. LaMotta Performance did a good job on my cam install ...
Can't say about Roger Vinci's shop ... never had anything done there. Gotta' be good, though with all the positive comments I've heard from other people. I'll stay with Mike and his folks simply because I enjoy going there and doing dyno days and talking with other enthusiasts who share the same interests. Mike tuned my car himself and really did a professional job.

Jake LaMotta is one of the best Mustang and Tremec guys around, However a LSX guy he is not.

I've been a customer of Mike Norris's since June 1999. It was more of a coincidence that I met him as a result of a warranty claim. He's revived my engine a few times due to missed shifts, broken valvesprings, hydralock and most recently (i.e., now) a failed waterpump. All the guys at his shop are very approachable and friendly. Sometimes it is hard to get hold of him due to his responsibilities at the shop just because they seem to always be packed with vehicles. I tend to stick with a vendor until I have a bad experience and while Mike and I have had differing opinions on how to approach my goals (I spend too much time on the internet ), he's always had my best interest in mind.
I've met Roger & Joe Vinci a few years ago, and spoke with them recently regarding some testing a new product. Both are easy to get along with and listen to you. I took my '95 Trans Am in to be tuned by them years ago, but other than that I don't have any personal experience with their work. However, an autocross buddy has had very good results with one of their heads/cam packages in his automatic C5. I'm very impressed with the recent test dyno posts put up by mrr23 and I don't recall hearing about any bad experiences.
I have personal experiences (not bad) with Lamotta and Corvette Masters - I won't elaborate on them because they are not sponsors. No personal experiences with Rev Xtreme, Lugo, or Macedo.
I'd suggest arranging a day to visit from Jax and see both shops, and talk to folks at both Next Level Performance (fka Norris) & Vinci Performance. They're only 15-30 minutes away from each other depending upon traffic. Get a feel for how their values and schedule mesh with yours. As Tony stated, I think they'll both do you right but won't necessarily have the same opinions on how to obtain your goals. Good luck!
