Default MTI G1/C1 Cam VS TR 224

Ok I had a post on here recently and got a LOT of help, thanks to all involved, but I got a couple more questions. I've been looking at the TR-224 on a 112 LSA and was wondering how it would stack against the the MTI C1 cam which is also a 224 duration int/ext. but .581int/ext. on the lift on a 112 LSA. Also Im lookin at the mti G1 which is 228/232 .588/.575 on a 113 LSA, any ideas? I drive rougly 30 miles a day and am going to school this fall where I will be driving less, I'm looking to make 370 or more at the wheels so maybe I should consider something bigger, any help would be great

CRAP I meant C2 not c1

My C1 cam is going in this weekend. It comes highly recommended by everyone here in my local club. All of them have gone bigger since but a few of them miss their C1. Great street cam.

Like I said I am installing it this weekend and dyno tuning it next weekend - I will post my results. Based on the predictions of the club I am in I will throw down 375+ (I am also putting on Hooker LTs, ORY, and ASP pulley). The beauty of the C1 cam though is not in the peak numbers - power under the curve.

I would just go with the TR224 112 over the C1. The TR grind will make a few more ponies and have a better midrange. Driveability with a tuned TR224 is great for a daily driver. I drive mine every day.

This is my stock heads TR224 dyno graph........

Mods are everything in sig minus the heads and I was running an ORY at the time.

that dyno graph was with the ported heads correct? ive also looked into thunder 230/224 .575/.561 on a 111LSA as well as the tsp 233 and f-13, how much does lobe design/ramp rate affect power

G1.. If you don't have to worry about emissons. You will get that 224 in and after all your time and probably $$ for the install you wish you would have gone bigger. The LSA is what is going to give you driveablilty problems down the road with surging and hard starting depending on your tune.
