Looking for civilized cam with decent performance Looking for a cam that sounds fairly stock but gives some decent gain in hp. Thinking about ZO6 cam (how much can i get one for?). hear Lingenfelter GT2-3 is better. any thoughts?
I just installed Thunder Racing's new CheaTR (cheater) cam. If you plan on running stock manifolds and cats, you'll want a cam without much overlap. It's a tad more aggressive than the LS6 or LPE GT2-3 cam, but it still idles like stock. Mine pulls to 6800 rpm with ease. 214/230 .600/.578 117LSA.
If you plan on running headers and high flow cats, you can go with a cam that has a little more overlap and less of a split on the intake/exhaust lobes.

If you ask such a simplistic question the easiest answer (as you would have seen had to read JRP's cam guide) is a TR224.
