Is My Cam Too Big? Opinions?
My mods are in my sig. There are some minor extras like clear lid and 160 stat, but all the major stuff is there. I'm still using stock 241 heads, and the car pulls very hard from 3,200 up, but I'm wondering if there's a point where I could have gotten the same power with this set-up using a smaller less radical cam?
I haven't dyno'd the car yet. I'm still using the Crane tuner on cam level 4. Any opinions on my cam choice? Thanks

I run a MTI C2 (advertised 224/224 .581/.581 112LSA - cam card says 224/224 .576/.576 112LSA) and the car pulls hard the entire way to red line. With your rear end being so large though, I think you probably made a good cam decision.

Overall I'm happy, but the grass is always greener on the other side. That's why I wanted opinions.

The tuner is good. I used it with my 224 cam first using cam level 3, with this cam I used level 4.
The drivability is not bad with a bit of surge under 1,800 rpm. When I start it it can't idle well until about 30 seconds of holding rpm above 1000.
Other than that it's good. I didn't know if I went too far with the duration.

Further tuning will make that cam idle like a pussycat. I'm not sure if Vinci's programmer adjusts the VE tables enough to smooth out the rough edges (cold start problems, surging below 1800 rpm).

I'm still on the stock z-06 clutch, which is holding strong but won't last another six thousand miles. When I swap clutches I plan to use a lighter flywheel. I don't know if I will do aluminium or steel. What would you guys reccomend?
P.S. After I upgrade to a 12 bolt, I'll swap cams and go to an ATI Blower with the same set up. What cam would you recommend for forced induction with my set up?
Thanks!
