Power band G5x3 vs F13???
Futral says there powere range is from 2500 to 6800 RPM. Can anyone offer what the comparable numbers are for the G5X3? I've finally got it down to one of these cams. Will be installed at 11:1 compression Stage 1.5 or 2 heads in an M6 C5.
I'm listening.

I couldn't decide between these 2 cams either. One thing in favor of the f13 is less of a chance of having to fly-cut pistons. Second in favor of f13 is it is a more liveable daily driver. The f13 also makes GREAT torque throughout the rpm range. The G5x3 has a meaner sounding idle and might make a little better peak numbers on the dyno. I chose the f13 on a 112 and I think I made the right choice. My dyno numbers should be north of 445 because that's what it put down with a bad tune and a vacuum leak!!!!

Hey guys.
The X3 cam will work without fly cutting if you are using a stock non-milled head. The out of the box AFR 205s will also work, again if they have not been milled. All of our cams are designed with a very broad tq curve so that they car is always responsive to driver input.
Give us a call here at the shop or email me with any questions you might have and we'll get you taken care of.
