AFR's, All Pro's or I've heard that Trick Flow is supposed to be coming out with a nice set of LS1 style heads that flow some crazy numbers. I would buy the best fuel system components I could afford. I'd get either a Weldon system or a Barry Grant system and Aeromotive makes some affordable stuff also.

The stock LQ9 heads would be the best place to start without spending a shitload of money on aftermarket heads that will make good HP. The LQ9 heads are 72cc which gives pretty low compression for a turbo/super if you are using a typical -15cc dished piston. Might actually want to go with a larger dished piston if you want to run a lot of boost though. If you want aftermarket heads, the AFR 225's would be the way to go, or something along those lines of a higher cc chamber.

Take a look at the Patriot Performance LQ9 CNC'd heads. The heads flow decent numbers, come with titanium retainers, valvesprings that will handle a high lift camshaft, plus head gaskets and head bolts are included. I would use ARP head studs instead though, for your application. Bob

Also search "Patriot Performance heads". You'll love the results everyone has had with their products

Honestly the heads will vary compression but you just cant go slap a set of heads on any 408. Your going to need a large dished piston to achieve 9:1 or lower compression using a 408 cubic inch motor. You will also need a hell of a fuel system, a highly upgraded supercharger setup with a large head unit. The list can go on forever. Your looking at a 20,000 dollar or more build to do it the right way.

BTW a typical setup 408 with flat tops and 2cc valve relives will still be around 11:1 compression.
Your looking at somewhere between a 22-25cc dished piston depending on gasket thickness to get the compression down to 9:1 with a 72cc head.
