Harlan made a LOT. Enough to run 8.20s @ 170+ in the 1/4.
PSJ made 750+, ran 9.40s.
Big Mike made ~750 IIRC, ran 9.40s.
Noyzee made ~750 IIRC, ran 9.40s.
Stenod car uses stock crank, makes a LOT, runs 8.80s.

Stock crank is a STOUT piece.

I think harlan did indeed end up breaking one or two of them, not positive so don't quote me on it.

Nope never broke a crank in any car. Broke lifters that then wiped out the crank. We won't run a stock crank in any of the race cars. Like Steve said, 800 HP is a good cutoff point where it starts to become one of those things that you really want to look at getting a good forged piece. It's one thing to run the cars and make the power. However, there are some far greater forces in play when you let off the throttle at the end of the pass that many don't think of. Food for thought.

Ok, well I just remember Harlan saying something about trashing a block, in a crank surviving thread, so I thought the crank let go by itself, but it makes sense if it were the lifters. I'm kind of curious as to the durability of the typical crank manuf. Eagle, Lunati, and Callies. Also those compared to a stock. Just trying to figure out how critical it is to go from one forged crank to another. There is a pretty significant price difference between them.
