What are your drag strip results with the T-Rex?
I'm just about to pull the trigger on a T-Rex. I've been researching this cam swap for ~2 months, but my last question before I buy it is what kind of 1/4 mile results are you guys turning out on this cam? I've read all the threads about it, seen all the dyno graphs, etc, but I still can't really seem to find drag results. I know DanZ28's and SMOKIN01TA's (still kind of useless since it's an all out drag car) but that's about it. Anyone else?

Well the thing is I'm looking more for "real-life" results. Those are probably pretty radical cars in terms of their suspension, tune, weight reduction list, etc, and truthfully my car is not going to be that hardcore. I'm looking for more along the lines of weekend warriors, and hi-performance street/strip type setups.

Take this with a grain of salt, but I ran a rather unimpressive 7.73 at 92 with a 1.8 60' on an 1/8th mile track over the weekend. I go to the track about once every 18 months, though, and my suspension is completely stock, so I wouldn't call my results typical.

Goal is to break 10's. In addition to the nitrous and mods I already have, I'm adding a 12bolt, drag radials, chassis mounted torque arm, custom 4" exhaust, racetronix fuel pump/system, and maybe some injectors.

Im running a 402 setup, boltons with that cam. Not real happy with it, my smaller cam from comp a 232/232 in my 382 went a hell of alot faster then the trex in my new motor. Dont know whats up,but trex is coming out and HPE Gig E cam is going in with a new set of heads. Good luck

No.. Brand new 402 callies crank, eagle rods, mahle pistons. Comp is a little low could be why it doesnt run the way i want it to so changing the heads to a 59 cc and going with .30 head gasket and new cam see what happens

Oh ya? Maybe I'll see him up there sometime. Most of the guys I know down here head on up to Tempe because it's at a lower elevation. Track prep still sucks though, especially on Friday nights.

How come with the t-rex you need a 4000+ stall? DO you have to havfge one or is it just recommended? ALso how come in general most of the cams im seeing want usually a 3200 stall or higher, could a 3000 be used on those?
