Is it typical for the car to search for idle during the winter months??
This is the first "winter" that i have had this cam in...

My car really freaks out when first started in the morning after sitting all night.. Other than that.. car runs great once warmed up...

Will / could this damage anything during cold starts?
The help is appreciated...

no its not typical, if its tuned right that wont happen.

It's the cold-start enrichment. You need to adjust that in your tune.
This should be moved to the PCM & tuning section.

it can be the cold enrichment but my guess woudl be the idle airflow at colder temps is off sicne coolant temps wont get that low when its warm out to set the table up correctly, but you are right too much enrichment will kill it as well

I agree, get the Base Running Air Flow scanned and then tune it, that will solve your problems almost 95%. May need to tweak other settings like the cold enrichment.

Im also having idle isssues now that its cold.Car was tuned when it was much warmer.

Also, if you have a ported TB, check to make sure the IAC hole is large enough so as not to choke out the IAC motor.
