Question Lightest "in Stock" 4.030" Pinstons for 398CI and 10,4-10,8CR

Hi, i inted to build an 6.0l Iron block with 3,9 Stroke. But i can not find light forged pistons.
395 grams sounds great for JE Pistons (221176) , but max CR is about 9,75 with 59cc Heads . Diamonds best is 455 grams. Around 15% heavier than JE or stock cast pistons.

Building the most efficent machine is not the goal. But if i can get the stuff "cheap" (500-1000$ or more for custom work is not an Option) and someone knows where to get it. I'll take it gladly.

Don't forget the space for the crank relucator weel.

I was wondering if Dimond pistons #11413 fit. Ignoring the fact it is itended for the old 350 GEN I SBC. Making 400 CI for a lil retro on the datasheet (Its going into an Firebird and im also known as "red BANDIT")

What rod length will you use for the 3.9" stroke?

Also, you might have to consider valve reliefs cut into the pistons, if any if you intend to use GEN 1 SBC pistons. As the LSx's use a 15* valve angle, while old SBC's use a 23* valve angle. Might also have to look into pin height on the GEN 1 pistons.

ROSS cut me a set of light weight pistons for my aluminum LS2 418 4.030" and they only weigh 282 grams.

intresting bore & stroke combo, with those heads and chambers and compression that your after you need a piston with at least -12cc dish-valve relief, I went through Wiseco for my 408 project.

I went through Wiesco also. Good luck finding a "shelf" piston for the 3.9" stroke. It's very uncommon and not frequently used. It'd be cheaper just to use the 4" crank. There the same price, and you could find some shelf pistons.
