Default should i do the ls6 pcv mod during the H/C swap.

Curious if i should change over the valley cover to the ls6 part for the pvc.Its like 65 bucks in parts to do this, the thing is i already have a AMW catch can on the car and that seems to be working good but when i opent eh throttle body and look in i can still see a bit of oil getting through. Will the ls6 pcv mod help at all??

Lots of people are opting to remove the pcv completely and run 1 or 2 oil breathers. This is a much simpler option and cleans up the engine bay. IMO it is also a much easier option

yeah thats what i am going to do,just get it and be done with it.My car didnt consume a lot before the catch can, after the can its very minimal,so after the ls6 it should be good enough.I dont believe in removing a vacuum assisted ventilation from the crank case, thats just my opinion.thanks viper thats what i was looking for.

Check out this thread here, we have some good info in there as well as some pictures of just breathers.

Might as well do it while you're down there. For ~$60 why not? I just did mine when I swapped intakes. It was cake, even for someone whos never gotten that far into the motor before. I figured if nothing else, that it was good preventative maintenance.

Me either, and after being on this board 5 years I can tell you it's nothing new ( trying breathers ). Not that I'm opposed to learning something new but I'll keep the assistance for a daily driver.

i would like to see an oil analysis of an engine with stock pcv,and the same engine converted to breathers, and see what changed.I bet that a lot more fuel content and other contaminants would be found. If both oil analysis sheets came back the same, then i would change to breathers.Until i see that it doesnt contaminate oil,i just wont do it.
