Looking for the fastest of the fast LS1 street cars - Fastest Street Car Magazine
Ladies and Gentlemen -
I'm working on an article for Fastest Street Car Magazine. What it entails is a roundup of some of the fastest of the fast TRUE LS1 street cars. I'll need approximately 7 vehicles for this roundup, so if you know someone who fits the bill (and this doesn't mean 12 second cars, gang, more like the 9-and 8-second stuff) then please have them contact me via PM or email. I have approximately four days to get this up and running, so the sooner, the better. Corvettes and Camaros preferably, but will take a Goat or two if it fits the bill.
Thanks in advance.

I have a Mid to low 10 sec. 02 Camaro that is Very street worthy.
Run's pump gas, has a full interior, radio, AC, all of it's seat's, floor mats etc..
If I up the shot it might go 9's?
I'll PM you as you stated.

I cant remember the guys names but there were a couple of 8 sec ls drag radial cars at the Outlaw Street Nats in Bradenton this year from Ohio... Firebird and a Camaro I believe. One was running a 6.0L cast block and the other an LS6 block. Those should be quick enough for ya...

Correct me if im wrong, but within the past couple days, someone posted pictures of one of the ohio boys that crash. No nothing about them but it was a turbocharged formula I do believe. Went 8's @ bradenton but hit a wall recently running I guess. Driver was ok though.

Yes we wiped out the Formula last Sun. at a race in Ky. Some water came from the front of the car and got on the rear tires about 100ft. out and it spun hard into the wall, this was the all out race car we have, the other car is Mike Browns 02 CE that is truly the fastest street ls1 I know of,full interior, heater, radio, all power, overdrive tranny, and weighs over 3700lbs. Makes about 1200 at the crank and has gone 8.7x's @ 159mph on slicks. If this car is not included in this article then you wont have the fastests ls1 strret car!! I'll notify Mike of this thread so he can get into contact with you to see if this is something we can attend, although we will be very busy building another race car all summer!!

If my car is back together I would be interested. I have the motor at the machine shop and it wont be done for a few weeks. It will only be a low 10 sec daily driver with a 346 and a 300 shot,6 speed and a 9in rear.
