Default 650+ lift. what springs r u using?

As of now i have the Trex in my 408, runs great and pulls hard all around. With my cubes i know i have more room to grow, but couldnt find a valve spring with over a 650 lift. I am using the pat-golds that are rated at 650, but is there any other springs out there that i can use without michining the heads to make them fit? My plan is to run somewhere around 660's in lift. Thanks for the help,
chirs

Texas Speed and Performance. They are about the same price as the patriots. That kit is showing .660" lift, however, I'm sure you can specify the platinums and get the .670" lift. They are $289.99 a set, click link for more details.

Do you guys think the hydraulic lifters can take that much lift without being squashed? Not so much from the lift, from the spring pressure required to keep the valves from floating.

Id be carefull investing money in a hydraulic setup when you know a solid rollers gonna work. Solid is gonna make more power and have better drivability than hydraulic no matter what.

Can OEM replacement lifters be used in a TRex application? Or would it be wiser to go with a comp r lifter, or lunatic or morel? I'd rather not spend a fortune on lifters if it is not absolutely necessary.

Just about everyone I know running a T-Rex cam has OEM lifters with no problems. Call Thunder and ask them what they would suggest.

does look good, wondering if i could reuse my retainers from the golds and just buy the springs alone? So i am guessing this is the biggest spring you can buy without the machine work?
thanks for the replies

Give Geoff at thunder a call and ask him what seat pressure you want with those lobes. Then call texas speed and ask what install height you need to get that.

I believe the PRC's and Patriot golds are the same spring.

I think they are similar and made by the same company. I run the PRC springs mentioned in my link above. I haven't had any problem with them and have run them for 20k miles now on a 231/237 .598/.595 and 224/224 .565/.565 cam. I really don't know when I'll replace them. Probably not for a while still because my cam is so small. I'll just end up getting some heads.
