need good cam for Magnacharger
I'm looking for suggestions for a good blower cam for a positive displacment supercharger. I have not made up my mind on a blower yet, but am thinking Magnacharger at this point. The motor is a 2002 LS1 that is going in my '68 Camaro. I will be changing the heads (probably 6.0 liter stage 2 heads from Patriot) and want to change the cam as well. I will also be using 1 3/4" long tube headers and 3" exhaust. The car has the T56 6 speed and 3.89 rear gears.
I want a good street cam that will work well with the blower (7-8 psi). I have been looking at the GT2-3 cam from Lingenfelter. I hear it works great with the magnacharger, but am worried it will sound too stock. Has anybody heard this cam with headers and a good exhaust? This is a '68 Camaro and I want it to sound like a musclecar. So I guess I'm looking for good driveability, performance and some lope. Something with split duration in the mid-220's maybe? Any suggestions?

the gt2-3 is a good cam, it doesnt matter if it sounds stock its gonna help with your set-up, plus when you floor it im pretty sure that blower wont sound stock, try a cam like the one Nine ball used in his vette, he put down 50x on low boost with stock motor, headers and cam. but his is an LS2

ive ridden in a maggie GT2-3 car. Its pulls more up top, but it feels/sounds stock. You cannot tell a cam is in there. im looking into a cam myself in a month or so for my maggied goat. right now my sights are on something more aggresive than the GT2-3. 225/230/114 or so.

The blower whine is gonna sound great! I know the GT2-3 cam will work with the blower and behave well on the street. I just kind of have a problem with my car having a smooth idle. The cam in my old motor (gen 1 small block) was a 242/248 that was listed by Comp Cams as a "pro-street/bracket racing" cam. I don't want anything that extreme, but something noticable would be nice. Do you guys think I will gain any power over the GT2-3 cam by going with something in the 224/230 range? I'm willing to trade a little torque for some high end power. I'll have MORE than enough torque. I have a feeling I'll be buying a lot of tires.......

I just installed a GT2-3 and am installing a maggie too. If you want more lope, then look for something with around 230-240 degrees. But remember, the maggie is a little blower, and you don't want to be wasting boost out the exhaust valve.
A lot of the installers sells custom blower grinds.
If you are installing this in a 68 camaro, have you considered the KB, or maybe a big polished 6:71.

I was looking at the Kenne Bell, but the Magnacharger is enough blower for my 500 RWHP goal. That should be able to get me into the 10's if I can hook it up, and that's fast enough for me. I'd probably be spending another $1500 to get the KB, which is money I would rather spend on heads. No 6-71 for me, I'm not too into the big hole in the hood/pro-street thing.
I had the hot cam kit (218/228) in my old 350 a few years ago, and it had a nice sounding idle with good manners. I would use the gen III hot cam in this motor, but it doesn't have the lift numbers I want. I want something with at least .550 lift, and I want to keep the stock rockers. Maybe I should have something custom ground if I don't find what I'm looking for.

I'm partial to Comp Cam lobes.
You could get it on XE or XE-R lobes.
I'd do it on XE since this is a boost setup. It will be a little more gentle on the valvetrain.
