Default Valvetrain chatter @ ~2500rpm with cam?

Just wondering if this is normal. Have a FM14 (232/234 .598/.598 112 LSA) and Patriot Gold Dual springs. At ~2500rpm when cruising I get a lot of chatter from what sounds like the valves. I am not 100% sure that's what the noise is, I'm an engine newb, but I don't know what else it could be.

Edit: It's not really that annoying, and I've driven a few thousand miles with it like this, just curious.

Thanks for any advice guys

Pushrod lenght may be playing a big part in this.

I am running 7.425", from my understanding it was ticking with 7.4"s but it isn't now. So are they too long? Too short? Explain.

Did this start immediately after the cam install? Check the torque on your rockers.

It might be that your lifters haven't fully pumped up yet. When I did my head and cam swap (2 different times) I had the same thing for a long time and eventually it went away.

I just recently finished a g5x3 cam, headers and 90/90 setup and mine does the same thing when hot. When it`s cold no noise, so it makes me think it could possibly be the type of oil i`m using for right now mobil 5w30 I found a bunch of 5w40 that i`m switching to this weekend, by the way I have about 800 miles on mine and it`s been doing it since the swap. I also think some of the noise is coming from the injectors, lucas #42`s.

235/237 futral cam here with patriot golds. nice and noisy while cruising and for a split second when you let off the throttle after a given cruising speed.
3K miles on the setup, no issues as of yet. and i been spinning it 7K constantly.
