427ci help? hey guys whats going on? alright im gonna be pickin up a bare ls1 block soon, and im wondering what is all involved in making it into a 427? i know i need to stroke it and what not, but what else is involved?

The block will have to be resleeved (dry or wet) and fitted with a stroker assembly.
My advice is talk to Steve D. at R.E.D >>>>> sponsor.
He is the only one I would 100% trust for this.

thaks. wish i had the money right now for the pistons i would def. take them off your hands. i have to get the block first. thats my main concern. i figured i would have to resleeved the motor and stroker. i just wasnt sure what else was invovled.

Better off doing an LS2 402. That is just a stroker crank. I believe 383 is the biggest you can go on just stroke. To get the 427, you need to bore the block, which requires re-sleeving an LS1 block.

Still finishing the boost controller. It's almost done. It looks REALLY nice. I should be doing some tuning tomorrow. I would love to have the car done for Saturday RSD but I don't think thats going to happen. Jim doesn't tune on Saturday
