Smile Heads arrived today - pics/specs/flow numbers

Sent my 317's out a couple weeks back to get ported by a member on the board here. They arrived today and of course I had to take a couple pictures . The heads will be going on tomorrow and hopefully it will be back up and running by Thursday. Here's the rundown of what it got:

Intake valve: 2.08 Ferrea 6000 with 28* back cut
Exhaust valve: 1.60 Ferrea 6000
Intake port work: Stage 3 with upgraded intake seat, hand blended high lift valve job
Exhaust port work: Stage 2, width to accommodate 1 3/4" header

Flow numbers on super flow 600 with flocom at 28":
Valve Lift Intake CFM Exhaust CFM*
0.200 142 115
0.300 211 151
0.400 254 178
0.500 295 200
0.600 322 219
0.700 325 222

*The exhaust numbers are without a pipe.

Just thought I would share with you all. I can't wait to get it running and get some new dyno numbers

Those are some large intake valves! May they never meet Mr Piston!

I know you're smart enough to be running the best of springs. Good luck!

Good luck getting back and running. No doubt you are anxious from having the car down for a month. Let us know how she drives.............oh yeah you dont even have to wait for spring break in, so let her rip when she gets good and warm.

You read my mind Just gotta make sure the A/F doesn't get too whacky during WOT.

I may or not be able to monitor A/F depending on whether I get my gauge in or not, but do you think it would be alright to rip this thing out without a tune? I have a custom tune already for my other mods, but I just want to make sure I'm not gonna F anything up.

I would assume that your current tune should be fine to let it loose after you get the car nice and warm. Put 20-30 miles on it just to make sure everything is in line then let her go. The new heads should not effect your A/F much at all. As long as your tune was ok before with that cam.

When I changed heads it affected the AFR quite a bit, just letting you know. Ran very lean down low, I even had it dynoed like that it didnt hurt anything however.

Yeah the a/f lower in the rpm range being off a point or two isnt going to kill anything. The higher rpm a/f should not change very much at all. If your O2 sensors are doing their job anyways.

Well O2 sensors are not used at WOT, the computer use's the VE numbers. I think that if those heads flow good you'll go lean for sure. Better safe than sorry after all that work.
